Blas texted me, “I love my job but I don’t boast about it. In fact, you don’t boast bout yours either.”
Well, I do love my job. I don’t boast about it because I do not define myself with a job. That’s just pitiful. I like to think I am proud with what I can do rather than what I am paid to do.

It’s amazing what people brag about these days even with the economic slowdown. But I do agree with you, our jobs ought not to define us. It ought to bring light to who we are within and not who we are without. Now that’s another thought to think about, don’t you think?

Even if this post is not directed at me I’d like to thank you for sharing this. For a while, I needed a little self-esteem. I had a couple of incidents or rather getting ‘hate comments’ a few years ago in my old shout box saying how pitiful I am working with such a lousy salary. So, I’m jobless right now. It had me down for a while. You gave me light on that subject matter.
